In the game, Chishiya reflects on his own personal ideal that all lives are equal. He decides that choosing any number other than “0” would be equivalent to killing himself, and he picks “100”.

In the end, Chishiya chooses 100, and Kuzuryu allows him to win. It is revealed later that he was the King of Diamonds at The Beach, and that he had been trying to figure out if all human lives are equally valuable.
